Health Information Exchange in Rural Northern California
Mendocino Health Records Exchange
("Mendocino HRE") was a two year demonstration project
completed in January 2007. See the

Current rural HIE projects in Mendocino are listed below.
Redwood MedNet HIE
Redwood MedNet delivers
laboratory test results to local clinical practices, either via a
secure online portal or via an electronic data stream pushed
directly into a site level clinical software application. The HIE
was built by Mendocino
Informatics with open source software.
Redwood Health Information Collaborative (RHIC)
RHIC has met monthly
since January 2006 to help plan a local health information exchange
for the Lake and Mendocino County region of Northern California.
The Collaborative maintains a public
archive of plans, reports, presentations and other useful
documents.

Redwood MedNet hosts
a third annual
Health
Information Exchange Conference in Healdsburg, California on
Friday, July 10, 2009. The one day conference features
presentations by regional and national subject matter experts.
